It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Barbara, who left peacefully, with family by her side, at Trillium Hospice, Parksville, BC, after a long battle with cancer.
Barbara was born and raised in Victoria, BC. She graduated from Claremont High School, then studied at the University of Victoria, and later moved to Vancouver, BC. Barbara was an independent and intelligent free spirit.
Predeceased by our parents, Maurice (1968), and Eleanor (2006).
Barbara is survived by and will be missed by her five sisters and one brother and four brother-in-laws, Ruth (Frank) Copley, Deep Bay, BC, Jeanie (Rob) Copley, Victoria, BC, Maureen (Marty) Martyn, Parksville, BC, David Foster, Los Angeles CA, Marylou (Ian) Eales, Florence OR, and Colleen Jaymes Foster, Los Angeles CA.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Very special thanks to Dr. Marlene Van Der Weyde, and Dr. Susan Hunter of Parksville, BC, also Dr. Mark Carey of Vancouver, BC, and all the wonderful Nurses, Care Aides, O.T.’s and Volunteers at Trillium Hospice, who took such great care of Barbara, with compassion, love, and understanding. We are so grateful to you.
Barbara requested there be no service, and she wished to be laid to rest with our parents at Hatley Memorial Gardens, Victoria, BC. Flowers gratefully declined.
Barbara will forever be remembered€ and missed by her family.
