Arlene Joyce (Guerard) Miller was born to Maurice and Mickey (Kidd) Guerard and was raised with brother Jim Guerard.
At seventeen, Arlene met George Bernard Miller and they married in May 1956. George's work as a Mechanical Engineer meant moves around Canada, and Arlene's last administrative job was at Capilano College from 1978. Arlene's family of six was first, and Lhasa Apso dogs were her second passion.
Predeceased by husband George (2019); eldest son, Professor Andrew Miller (2009); brother Jim Guerard; brother-in-law Jack Cop; and preemie great-grandson Wallace Miller Macdonald-Heath (April 2021). Lovingly remembered by daughter Lisa Grant (Don); son Doug Miller (Helen); son Rob Miller (Fiona); Andrew's widow Kate; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Despite a June 17th diagnosis of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, Arlene remained strong, sharp and smiling. Celebrations of Arlene's life are being planned. Gratitude to Dr Crystal Bostrom.
