It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Archie on March 11, 2024, in his 96th year. Archie was predeceased by his wife Jean (nee Hargreaves) in 2009 and daughter Nancy Jager of Calgary, Alberta in 2000 and son-in-law Dave Jager in 2015. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Judy Baxter, son-in-law Tom of Nanaimo, BC and Grandchildren Emily (Nazir), Duncan (Shayla), Grace and Sam in addition to his family in Ontario and Quebec. Following his retirement, Archie and Jean moved to Nanaimo, BC in 1995 where they could be closer to family. We would like to thank the wonderful team of people who cared for Archie including Monica at Kiwanis Village, the Homecare staff, the medical team and staff in the Palliative Care Unit of NRGH and at Trillium Hospice in Parksville. There will be a celebration of Archie's life at Trinity United Church in Nanaimo, 6011 Doumont Rd. at 2 pm on April 27, 2024.
