It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Al. After a short, courageous battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully in the early morning of December 22, 2018.
Al is survived by Janet Hockley, his life partner of 30 years and her three children Nicki Hockley, Travis Hockley (Rie) and Ryan Hockley, his devoted daughter Lisa Campbell (Dave), grand daughters Lindsay Spiers and Brittany Brim (Chris), and his great grand-daughters Emma, Ally, Isla and Bella. Also, his three sisters in Saskatchewan, Tannis, Barb and Maureen, brother Miles (Janice) of Campbell River and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Al moved to Campbell River in 1962 where he resided all his life. After his high school graduation in 1965 he went to work at CRES as an automotive parts salesman and stayed until his much deserved retirement in 2009. Al was known for his love of loud, fast cars and will forever be remembered for having the shiniest cars in town.
A Celebration of Al's Life will be held on January 26, 2019 at 1 pm at the Campbell River Legion Hall.
