Alex passed away peacefully at The Views at St. Joseph's in Comox, BC, On Dec. 10, 2019. Alex was predeceased by his parents Con and Emelia, sisters Kay and Mary, brothers Conrad and David, and is survived by his loving wife Olga Katherine "Kay" Hessler, sons Brian and Gary (Barbara), daughter Debra (Michael); 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Alex became a baker at 15 years of age, in Nelson, BC. His career lasted 50 years. In his leisure, he loved to fish and enjoyed card games with his friends (Cribbage & Canasta). Alex was a very social guy. He loved having company in the afternoon and serving a great supper. He was very loving and a deeply caring person. Alex was never without a smile on his face and was cherished by all who knew him.
