Victoria police seek cane-carrying suspect in April assault

Victoria police are looking for some help identifying a suspect in an assault last month, issuing an image Friday (May 26).

On April 20 around 9:30 a.m. an individual was assaulted shortly after getting off a BC Transit bus in the 1300-block of Douglas Street, VicPD said in a news release.

The suspect is described as 55 to 65 years old, 6’2” with a large build, grey beard and carrying a cane.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information to call VicPD at 250-995-7654, ext. 1, or report anonymously through Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
