The District of Saanich is working to replace a water main on Forrester Street between Richmond and Foul Bay roads as part of an annual upgrade of aging infrastructure.
Work is taking place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Feb. 21, with Forrester Street restricted to local traffic only during those hours.

Full road closure to emergency vehicles and local traffic.

As of Feb. 9, the water main installation is complete and the crew is moving on to replace individual water service connections, said Saanich communications manager Megan Catalano.
Signage and traffic control personnel are directing vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians through the work site as required.
Some residents may experience disruption to water service in the area that will occur during construction. However, public works will notify residents a minimum of 24 hours prior to any planned water shutoffs.
