Highway 14 has fully reopened in both directions after a sinkhole west of Sooke closed the roadway earlier on Tuesday.

Emcon and DriveBC announced the reopening at about 3:30 p.m. after the three-hour closure.

According to reports, a washout in Jordan River caused the damage.
