Oceanside RCMP seized various weapons, drugs and stolen property after executing a search warrant in a Parksville residence the morning of April 5.

Oceanside RCMP General Investigation Section, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, carried out the search warrant in the 400 block of Pioneer Crescent, according to an Oceanside RCMP news release. The warrant was authorized to search for drugs and weapons.

The weapons included a firearm. Two occupants were arrested, one of whom had several outstanding arrest warrants.

As residents would have noticed a large and sustained police presence in the area, we wanted to provide as much information about our activities as possible to keep the public informed, said Sergeant Shane Worth of the Oceanside RCMP.
