Police are investigating two reports of a suspicious male in a blue sedan vehicle two days apart in Crofton.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were alerted to incidents on April 13 and 15.
On April 13, a male driver approached a 10-year-old girl at the corner of Chaplin Street and Elizabeth Street around 4 p.m. and told her he was there to pick her up on behalf of her mother. The 10-year-old girl ran away and reported the incident to an adult.
On April 15, a 14-year-old girl reported a man in a blue older model sedan saw her and did a U-turn in her direction at Queen Street and Brook Street around 12:30 p.m. No contact was made during this incident.
The suspect male is described as an elderly Caucasian man, possibly wearing dark or black clothing and a ball cap.
“Investigators are requesting assistance from the public to report any previous or future suspicious incidents of a similar nature,” said Const. Kristine Roesler of the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.
