NDP leader, Jagmeet Singh, will make his first trip to Courtenay, which will include a public meeting at the Florence Filberg Centre on Monday, March 5 at 7 p.m.
“MP Rachel Blaney and I are beyond excited to welcome Jagmeet to the Comox Valley and to give everybody a chance to meet him and hear about his bold vision for Canada,” said Gord Johns, NDP MP for Courtenay-Alberni.
Singh was elected as NDP leader in October and is currently travelling across Canada, engaging with people of all walks of life. His desire is to hear directly about issues that are important to Canadians and their communities.
Members of the public are invited to attend a “JagMeet and Greet” for a conversation between Blaney and Johns, and Singh, following which the floor will be opened for questions from attendees.
