Nanaimo RCMP is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing boy.

According to a press release, Chaas Mearns, 13, has not been seen or heard from since Friday and family and friends are concerned about his safety and well-being.

Mearns does not have any medical conditions and is a healthy 13-year-old, noted a Nanaimo RCMP press release.

“He does not have a cellphone and has no access to money other that the small amount he may have on his person,” the release notes. “He has family scattered throughout Vancouver Island and in Saskatchewan but to date he has not reached out to any of them.”

Mearns is 4-foot-10, 96 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.
