Nanaimo man missing, family says he made ‘troubling’ comments

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate a 35-year-old who is considered missing and whose family is concerned.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, Chris Chesnic was reported missing to police Tuesday, Feb. 22.

“His family told investigators that [he] recently made some comments that were considered to be troubling. As a result, they are extremely concerned for his personal safety and well-being,” noted the release.

The missing man may be in the vicinity of Langford and driving a red 2009 Ford F150 pickup with B.C. licence plate NV9977.

Chesnic is, 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes and has a tattoo of a skull on his upper right arm and a tattoo of a dog on his upper left arm.

Anyone who sees Chesnic is asked to call 911. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2022-6263.
