Justin James Dodd hasn’t wavered from his stance to represent himself on two counts of second-degree murder.
Dodd is charged in the deaths of Tommy Johnson and Brad Johnson, whose bodies were found in a Crofton home on Oct. 23.
“I do not wish to have a lawyer,” said Dodd Tuesday via videolink on his second appearance on the charges in provincial court in Duncan.

Judge Roger Cutler impressed upon Dodd that he will have to make an application himself if he plans to seek bail for his release from the regional corrections centre where he’s currently in custody while awaiting trial.
In the meantime, Crown will be providing disclosure information to Dodd for his perusal, laying out the allegations and evidence.
“It is only about 500 pages right now,” said Crown Prosecutor Paul Pearson, also appearing by videolink.
Dodd will have two weeks after he receives the package and the case will be back before the court Dec. 14 to determine the next steps.
