A driver collided with a traffic-calming barrier and tipped their SUV in north Nanaimo this morning.
Emergency personnel were called out at a little after 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, to a single-vehicle crash on Lost Lake Road near Smokey Crescent.
The male driver needed to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and was transported to hospital for precautionary reasons.
No injuries reported after vehicle rolled on its side on Lost Lake Rd. and Smokey Car. Single occupant. Lost Lake Rd closed one lane.

According to ICBC statistics, there were only two crashes at that intersection in the five-year period from 2017-2021.
