Oceanside RCMP received 267 complaints the week of Oct. 29 to Nov. 4.
Some of the incidents included:
Oct. 29
• Four nighttime property prowlers were reported in the 600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• A nighttime car prowler was reported in the 300 block of Young street, Parksville.
• A motorcycle was reported vandalized with damage to the ignition in the 100 block of Lombardy Street, Parksville.
Oct. 30
• A white-with-red-letter DJ Bikes brand e-bike was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Cape Cod Drive, Parksville.
• A resident responded to an email offering a $300 rebate and permitted outside access to their computer with resulted in an attempt to steal $20,000 from a bank account. The financial institution noticed the suspicious transaction and stopped the transfer.
• A resident responded to a phone call from a private number advising a relative was in a car crash and bail was needed. The scammer was able to get the resident’s credit card information and proceeds of $800 in gift cards.
Oct. 31
• A vehicle was reported vandalized with damage to the trunk and a hole in the rear window in the 600 block of Johnstone Road, Parksville.
• Catalytic converters were reported stolen from motor homes in the 1400 block of Island Highway East, Nanoose Bay.
• A vehicle was reported vandalized by being pelted with eggs that marred the finish in the 100 block of Stanford Avenue West, Parksville.
• A 2001 blue Kawasaki 600 motorcycle, B.C. plate J40126, was reported stolen in the 600 block of Imperial Drive, Parksville.
• A sliver Nine Bot Kick Scooter was reported stolen in the 100 block of Pym Street, Parksville.
Nov. 1
• A nighttime car prowler was reported in the 1100 block of Industrial Way, Parksville, on November 1.

Nov. 2
• A vehicle was reported vandalized with fuel stolen in the 1500 block of Veterans Road, Errington.
• A vehicle was reported vandalized with windows smashed in the 1600 block of Stroulger Road, Nanoose Bay.
Nov. 4
• Two vehicles are reported lit on fire in a case of arson in the 3500 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach. Video surveillance is being reviewed.
• A black Cannonball brand dirt bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of Pym Street North, Parksville.
• A resident reported being scammed out of $9,000 responding to telephone call for an investment in crypto currency.
