The Holiday Train supporting the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive is back on track for 2020.
Island Corridor Foundation is once again rolling out the Holiday Train charity event to support children and their families who may find this Christmas more challenging under the pandemic’s social and financial pressures.
Organizers hope the public can help ICF deliver a trainload of toys when the train makes stops Dec. 10 at the Nanaimo train station, 321 Selby St., 4:30-5:30 p.m. and at Steve Marshall Ford, 3851 Shenton Rd., 6-7:30 p.m.
Because of COVID-19 protocols, the train will not be able to take guests aboard this year, but the train will be brightly decorated with Christmas lights to add cheer to the event.
People who would like to donate cash to purchase gifts most needed by this year’s drive can donate online at www.islandrail.ca/donations.
