Annual boot drive for Muscular Dystrophy Canada goes this weekend

Greater Victoria firefighters are hitting the streets this weekend with their boots in hand.

Members of the fire service will be at stores and other popular spots across the region collecting donations to fill their boots.

The annual boot drive raises funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

The Colwood Volunteer Firefighters Association is at the new Quality Foods location in Royal Bay Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. collecting donations.

Over on the Peninsula, Sidney crews are at the Beacon Plaza and the Thrifty Foods location while their Central Saanich counterparts are at the Peninsula Co-op and Thrifty Foods grocery stores.
