The new Cozy Christmas Food Tour, which starts on Nov. 17, means you can savour delicious treats like gooey melted cheese, rich truffles, peppermint bark, spiced nuts and rich hot chocolate.
Off The Eaten Track, a local food tour company, put together this two-hour guided walking tour that is sure to get people in the holiday spirit.
“What better way to celebrate the season than indulging in holiday-themed dishes, walking among the bustling decorated streets, and visiting a few local boutique shops for a chance to score some exclusive discounts,” said Bonnie Todd, owner of Off The Eaten Track.
The festive journey kicks off at the Off The Eaten Track gift shop, located within the historic Steamship Terminal Building. Here, participants can sample the cherished Todd family tradition known as “Nuts & Bolts,” a holiday favorite dating back to the 1960s. The tour then takes patrons on an adventure to four additional local culinary destinations, guided by a knowledgeable foodie tour guide. Stops along the way include visits to Rogers’ Chocolates, Bon Macaron, Crust Bakery, L’Apero Wine + Cheese Bistro, and Chocolat & Co.
But this tour offers more than just scrumptious bites – it’s a chance to discover thoughtful gifts from local businesses like the Victoria Market Collective, The Papery, and Russell Books. Participants can also delve into the history and stories of the area and explore the enchanting Festival of Trees, nestled inside The Bay Centre.
Running from Nov. 17 to Dec. 31, the tour operates every Wednesday through Sunday, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $65 for adults and $55 for youths (aged 18 and under), encompassing all food and beverages, along with exclusive discounts at select local shops and restaurants.
Advanced booking is necessary, and tickets and additional information can be obtained on the official website at: https://offtheeatentracktours.ca/cozy-christmas-food-tour/.
