Our sympathies to the people who live near Mike Miller’s proposed renovation project on Beach Drive.
We had the misfortune of living next door to Abstract Development’s (Miller’s company) condo project at the corner of Bowker Avene and Cadboro Bay Road. Two years of blasting, noise, dust, dirt, traffic snarls, parking congestion and road closures. Not to mention the loss of nine huge Garry oak trees. Be prepared for a long nightmare.
As for the project’s “adding to the housing market options” in the area, one can fairly assume that affordability won’t be one of the options, unless you’re making north of six figures a year. And where do the people living there now go while the project is being built?
