February 1, 2022
Yvonne Hall passed away peacefully at age 90 on February 1, 2022. The last several years were difficult because mobility challenges had robbed her of her much-valued independence.
Still, she often said what a lucky life she had led overall.
She earned a BA degree as a young woman, and then qualified as a lab technician where she got to work in her home province of New Brunswick, then later in Ohio and finally in Ocean Falls where she raised her children with her husband Don.
She and Don met at University in Fredericton and moved to BC for opportunity in the forest industry. They lived in Bella Coola, Ocean Falls, Kitimat and finally in Courtenay for the last 45 years. During their life together they made life-long friendships and had great adventures travelling with their Cessna float plane all over the coast, and into their beloved cabin in the BC interior.
Yvonne was predeceased by her daughter (Karen) and husband (Don).
She leaves her son Peter (Eileen Peters) and grandchildren Kate and Alex and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. McFadden and Dr. Reggler for their empathetic care and attention. And a special acknowledgment to her friend Doris Ellis whose company and support over the years was so appreciated by her and by all of us.
