In loving memory ~ It is with sincere sadness that the family of Wilma Ruth Ostle announces her passing on Wednesday October 6th at Lodge on 4th in Ladysmith B.C.
Wilma is predeceased by her husband John ( Jack ) Ostle, parents, William and Ruth Davenport and sister Olive Lind. Wilma leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her family - children; Bob ( Chad ) of Vancouver B.C., Joan ( Carl ) of Gibsons B.C., Warren ( Deb ) of Ladysmith B.C. and Richard ( Bruce ) of Victoria B.C. Her grandchildren whom she adored; Melissa ( Paul ), Gayla ( Peter ), Cheryl, Jennifer ( Martin ), Candice ( Sheldon ), Steven and Justin. As well, her pride and joy; great grandchildren ( who knew her as GG ) Sierra, Lynden, Jayden, Ethan, Emma, Charlotte and Ryder.
Wilma spent her entire 95 years in Ladysmith and was actively involved in several organizations and committees, including Club 44, Native Daughters ( where she was hall rental secretary for over 30 years ), ACW and Ladysmith Celebrations Committee. She was a member of the church choir and quilting group, loved a good game of crib and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Lodge on 4th, who provided exceptional care to Wilma, especially during her final days.
There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Wilma's behalf to the charity of your choice.
