When your character is refined
in the crucible of adversity
And your mettle has been tested by it's flames,
When you dedicated your life
To keeping others safe from harm,
Then eternity waits for you
with a hero's welcome

Bill leaves behind an incredible legacy having won a lifetime achievement award for his work in civil rights in both Canada and the US. Bill spent his entire life making the world a better place for everyone.
Bill is preceded in his heavenly journey by his wife Kathleen Duncan (nee O'Connor), his daughters Rachel Brooks, Ifoma Rosetta Duncan, Debbie Duncan and grandson William E. Duncan IV. He leaves behind daughters Colleen Duncan, Suzanne Duncan and his son, William E. Duncan III, son-in- law Greg Brooks, grand-daughters Madelene & Joyce, great-grandson Joshua and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
