Bill died at Charlotte QCI/HG hospital following a long battle with poor health. He was predeceased by his second wife of over 30 years Della in 2012 and father Sam in 2020.
He is survived by his wife Sharleen, Sandpit, mother Margaret, Lake Cowichan, brother Don (Debbie), Youbou, his first wife Bonny Jones, Sooke, mother of his children Leanne Hannam (Mike), Sooke and William (Daynet) Beldessi of Mexico. Grandchildren are Riley, Ryan, Maddie, Keegan, Abriel, William, Tristan and Ayden.
Bill did many things during his life including several terms as Moresby Island Regional Director, lands use manager for the Council of Haida Nations and president of Share BC. He also worked in the logging industry all around BC for many years. He was always ready to help anyone and serve his community.
He will be missed.
