In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Chipman at NRGH with his partner Valerie at his side.
Bill was predeceased by his mother, Eunice Anderson (2020) and his brother James (Jim) Chipman (2006).
He is survived by his sons Steve and David, daughter Colleen, numerous grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Born in Port Alberni and raised in Qualicum Beach, Bill later joined RCEME in Kingston, Ontario, where he trained as a gun mechanic and machinist and later served as a Sergeant in the Rocky Mountain Rangers in Kamloops and as an Army Cadet Instructor in Creston.
Bill was President of the Creston Valley Blossom Festival Association, an Executive member of Branch 76 Qualicum Beach Legion, a taxi driver for the Qualicum Beach area and a school bus driver for School District 69 prior to his retirement.
His affectionate smile and twinkling eyes will be remembered by all who knew him.
With thanks to Qualicum Beach Memorial Service for their professional and compassionate assistance.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C.
