July 4, 1958 - October 17, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of this amazing and strong woman.
On July 4th, 1958 Wanda Gayle was born to Barry and Velma Good in Souris, Manitoba. Then came her two brothers Roderick and James.
They moved to Brandon the year Wanda started Grade 6 and she continued on and graduated high school.
After high school she started her lifelong career with Woolco/Walmart in Brandon and later transferring to Nanaimo. She worked her way up to management and was well respected and thought to be kind and fair.
Wanda and Collin met in September of 1980 when she came out west for her best friend Shirley's (Vic) wedding. She moved to BC shortly after and they married in 1984. She became a step mother to Nicole, Garrett and Cari and loved to spoil them!
Wanda had a lifetime of medical problems starting when she was 17 years old and contracted Hepatitis. She had a liver transplant in 1986 where the Mt. Benson Buckskinners, Woolco and Cedar community all gathered to help financially and emotionally.
She also triumphed over cancer, not once but twice. Wanda felt that she was blessed to received a 2nd chance after her transplant and never took life for granted, not even for a minute.
Wanda loved the great outdoors including hiking, kayaking, camping, the beach and walking her beloved dog Lucy Marie. They could be spotted all over in Yellow Point.
Wanda is predeceased by both her parents. She leaves behind her husband Collin of Ladysmith, brother James of Ladysmith, and brother Roderick of Brandon, MB. Also many family members still in Manitoba. And her two friend sisters Shirley and Sandy.
We will forever love you and miss you Wanda... Until we meet again.
