W Kenneth Jubenville known for his gentleness and kindness died peacefully on Saturday December 22, 2018 after battling cancer over a span of 35 years. He was 73. He was predeceased by his sister Karen (1975) and his youngest son Ryan (2006), Ken leaves many who mourn him including his beloved wife Barb, son Keith, brother Jim (Bernice) and sister Judy (Bruce) many nieces and nephew and numerous friends and relatives.

Ken worked as a shop teacher for School District 68 (Nanaimo) for 17 years, and then worked for Canada Post for 23 years.

He lived well until the end enjoying symphony concerts, Chemainus Theater, walking his dogs, playing duplicate bridge and other games, tending to the many plants in the gardens, taking on endless projects around the house, and fostering a plethora of kittens and puppies for the SPCA. But most of all Ken was a devoted family man who supported his boys in their many interests and activities.

Ken was always upbeat and positive as the cancer gradually overwhelmed his body. He felt blessed to have lived virtually pain free and looked forward to eternal life with no sickness or sadness.

Special thanks to Dr. Kula and Dr. Schulson for their wonderful care during his life and cancer journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Community Church, 2221 Bowen Road, on January 19 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA or the Island Prostate Center in Ken's name would be much appreciated.
