Vickey passed away peacefully on January 17th at the Victoria General Hospital after having 2 strokes. Vicky was predeceased by her son Roc, & her brother Anthony. She is survived by her husband, Chuck and her daughter Cheyenne (Daryl) Saint John, N.B. and sons Kurt (Heidy), Courtenay, B.C. and Troy (Vernon, B.C.) and sister, Roma (England) and many cousins from New Jersey. She leaves behind 8 amazing grandchildren, Cheyenne (Daryl) Kyle (Rachael), Matt (Sam); Kurt (Heidy) Alyssa, Steven, Christina; [Darleen, Vancouver, B.C.], Isamu, Kiyoshi and Tsukasa. She was loved by many friends and especially Lindsay who was like an adopted daughter to her.
Vicky was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She met Chuck and came to Canada in 1957 and got married and just celebrated 61 years of marriage. Being an Air Force wife, they moved from Middleton, N.S. to Belgium and Germany then to Chatham, N.B. and moved to Comox, B.C. and have lived here for 42 1/2 years. Vicky loved the game of tennis and volunteered for many years in the Seniors Kitchens, Citizens on Patrol, drove the MS Van and prepared many Christmas dinners for them.
At Vicky's request, there will be no funeral service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Vicky's memory to Y.A.N.A. or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
