Mom did her last move on Monday, March 11, 2019. Predeceased by her husband Ken Evans (2003), her son Rick Evans (2018), her son-in-law Tom Gamble (2017).

Survived by her son Grant Evans (Shirl), her daughters Jo-ann Textor (Barry), Debbie Gamble. 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters. Her sister Dawn Dickson, brother Glen Harper and brother-in-law Norman Shineton.

Mom was one of the few working Moms in the 1950s. She owned many businesses. Starting with Westholme Store (1956), Evans Low Coast in Mesachie Lake (1962), Honeymoon Bay Resort, Edgewater Terrace, Triple E campsite and cabins, and a video store. Between all the businesses many homes were renovated and sold. Calling us and a moving van was never a surprise. No one ever put their address down in pen, always pencil!

Mom was either up an extension ladder putting stain on the peaks of houses, tiling, and putting flooring down and always painting! So many houses have beautiful gardens because of Mom.

Her love of family was never ending. She gave the best birthday parties and Christmases. She liked to write poems, knit, making quilts, travelling, curling, and the "Young and the Restless". Family and friends always welcome for tea/coffee, cookies and sandwiches. Crib and Scrabble boards close by, and a box full of toys. Always there to lend a helping hand to anyone.

So with broken hearts and sadness we say goodbye to a very special lady. You are loved and we will miss you so much Mom.

Thank you to all the staff at Cerwyden. Rest in Peace Mom.
