Travis took up cooking at an early age, he excelled as a line cook working in the industry for over thirty years from Campbell River to Qualicum before settling in Courtenay.
He enjoyed playing hockey, cheering on the Canucks, kayaking, crabbing and playing the odd game of golf. He had a unique sense of humour that will be missed.
He is survived by his sons Shawn and Quintin and their mom Pam, of Courtenay. His mother Linda Hayes (Harold) Campbell River, father Glenn Oborne (Chi Chi) and half sister Lauren, Campbell River, Sister Teresa Bepple (Mark) Kamloops and their children Sabrina and Alex, also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
