Gone Fishing...
It is with deep sadness that the family of Tom Lasic share the news of his passing on June 13, 2021 at the age of 87. Tom was born September 13, 1933 in Mostar, Croatia. He came to Canada, landing in Halifax in June 1957. He made his way across Canada and settled on Vancouver Island where he spent the best part of his life.
He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Campbell River General Hospital in the early morning of June 13.
Tom leaves behind his wife of 56 years: Nada, daughter Katarina (Brian) as well as grandchildren Conner and Jasmine.
Tom enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, reminiscing and his grandchildren. He enjoyed telling stories of his journey from Croatia to Canada and always started with, "Listen, let me tell you something." Tom was always wanting to share stories and talk about the old times; he will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
We will miss you Dedo.
