Todd Vincent Stirling of Port Alberni passed away on October 22 at the age of 55 years old. Todd worked for years at Errington Cedar, a job he was totally dedicated to as the rip saw operator. He was always proud that he had the record for the most wood being cut in one day and how he never took one sick day in all the years he worked there.
Gardening was Todd’s passion. Every year he planted a huge garden and built more and more beds for flowers that filled the yard. He created a yard where deer would even come by to feed on the odd vegetable and relax. Hiking was another one of Todd’s passions. Scaling the highest peak of Mount Arrowsmith 13 times — and some of those times were by himself.
My brother, you were so innocent and precious. You were loved by those who met you and cherished by those who knew you. You loved life and your life was too short of a time. I will miss you dearly and I will think of you and love you forever, and I hope someday I will see you again , you were the best brother any one could ever have.
