Therese Gamache

March 12, 1927 - December 19, 2019
Passed away peacefully at Selkirk care home, Victoria, BC surrounded by her family.
Sooke was her home for almost 25 years - it is here Therese built strong bonds within the community and within her faith community at St Rose of Lima parish. She enjoyed a great variety of activities over the years... singing in the church choir, participating in the production of The Sound of Music at Edward Milne (Sr Margareta), volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, studying Power Squadron, and gardening to her heart's delight in her gorgeous yard at her home in the Whiffin Spit area - a beautiful place to gather family and friends, and a pivoting point for her world travels.
Predeceased by her parents and 9 siblings, her husband Lucien and daughter Dolores, she leaves her 6 children - Ray, Claude, Angie, Suzanne, Robert and Bernadette, along with 14 cherished grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren to carry on her beautiful legacy of La Joie De Vivre...joy in living / zest for life.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Rose of Lima Church at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 11th, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Sooke Hospice.
