Thelma Jocelyn "Jody" McNichol

Jody was born in Nipawin, SK and passed away peacefully at The Arbours, Sunridge Place in Duncan , BC after a long, ten-year journey down the rocky road of progressive dementia.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Ken in 1986, and by dear companions, Gordon Devlin in 2001 and Ted Vivian in 2013.

Left to cherish many happy memories are : her daughter, Pat Unger and husband, Don, her granddaughters, Renee Nickolichuk (husband, Kevin and their children, Naomi and Sam, of Cowichan Bay) and Dani Cryderman (husband, Mark and their son, Blake, of Campbell River), her brother, Ken Paisley (of Cobble Hill) and her sister-in-law, Joyce Puska (of Ladysmith) plus many nieces and nephews.

Before her illness, Jody enjoyed travel, crossword puzzles, her many collections, 5 pin bowling and lawn bowling. She had also spent many happy years working with the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Cowichan District Hospital.

The family thanks all of the staff at Sunridge Place for their devoted care of Jody. Deserving of special mention are Samantha (front desk) and Brenda (LPN) and Lisa (RCA) in Arbutus House.

There will be no service at Jody's request. In remembrance of her, please hug your loved ones as often as you get the chance.
