January 5, 1949 - March 17, 2020
Terry was born in St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, then moved to Haida Gwaii in March, 1949 where he lived until he was 11 years old when the family moved to Nanaimo. After a tough battle with cancer, Terry passed away in Nanaimo's Palliative Care. Terry is survived by son Barclay Kelly, wife Chelsea and grandson Dillon and eldest son Todd; brother Colin Kelly, sisters Debbie (George) Burgess, Judy (Kevan) Wall and families; siblings Jackie, Connie & Louise; nephews Rick, Shane and Len; dear friends (family) Ray and Kelly Boroski's family and many close friends.
Predeceased by mother Winnifred McLean and father Maurice Lafreniere, brother Dean McLean, sisters Lyn Boroski and Gloria Kehler.
Terry commercial fished a troller on the West Coast of BC with "brothers" Ray Boroski, Joe Campbell, Bobby Morgan and too many to mention.
Terry was well known in Nanaimo for Terry's Carpet Cleaning pink van where he met many through the business who became life-long friends, especially close are those he could not thank enough, the property managers and Al McNutt who he was forever grateful for carrying on with the cleaning business.
