Mrs. Teresa Francescutto passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, BC on Friday, October 19th with family by her side. She will always be remembered by her son, Mark, daughter-in-law, Joyce, numerous family and friends. Pre deceased by her husband, Ado Francescutto, brother Tony Borsato, and sister Maria Serena.
Teresa was born in Altivole, Treviso, Italy and worked as a shoemaker. She came west to meet up with her family and met Ado in a small mining town east of Sparwood, BC called Michel. They got married in Kamloops in 1954 and continued to live there until 2009 when they moved to Nanaimo to join their son and daughter-in-law. Teresa looked after the home, garden, and her only son which was a full time job. She enjoyed sewing and made many articles of clothing all with a treadle Singer sewing machine. She always put others first and gave her best effort every time. Family dinners with a glass of red wine was a real enjoyment for her with laughter and the occasional argument.
We would like to extend a very sincere thank you to all the staff of Woodgrove Manor, Dr. Kazanowski, NRGH ER, and NRGH Palliative Care for all the extra care and compassion they gave Teresa.
