On September 24, 2018 Tara peacefully slipped away after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves behind her young son Matt, husband Alan, parents Gary and Joan Lansdell, brother Aron (Sue) and many more family and friends.
Tara was raised in Nanoose and enjoyed taking her first art lessons from local artists. She also played on some of the first Oceanside girl soccer teams. Later she played on the University of Victoria and Capilano teams. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts and art diplomas, Tara started her own business "Chalk of the Town." Her work is still displayed in many Island Shops.
Please honour Tara next time you walk on the beach and think about how she would have captured it on canvas.
