It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tara Hunt, our beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 53.
Tara is survived by her loving husband, Rob Boorman; her parents Gordon and Jackie Hunt; sister Kathleen; brother Kornel (CarolAnn); niece Samantha; nephew Jared; parents-in-law Jim and Jacquie Boorman; as well as extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her niece Sera and sister-in-law Andrea.
Tara was an avid golfer with a beautiful swing. She loved to play as often as she could and wanted to golf with her husband, family and friends until the end.
A special thank you to the doctors and wonderful staff at Nanaimo Palliative Care, Community Care, and Nanaimo Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Tara, as well as the support they provided to the family during this difficult time.
Following Tara's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tara's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Nanaimo Hospice Foundation.
