It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our dear Mum, Nana, and Mother in Law passed away in Victoria on August 18 at 90 years of age.
She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Jennifer Brewerton (Andrew) and Suzanne Ashwell (Steve) and grandchildren Katie, Sarah, Zoe, James and Maxine. Sylvia and husband Ken (deceased) retired to Qualicum Beach in 1997 and soon made very good friends within the local Newcomers group, and enjoyed bridge games, theatre and volunteering with the SOS, Well Baby Clinics and the Community Police office.
A huge thank you to the staff at Selkirk Seniors Village (Victoria) and Stanford Place Care Campus (Parksville) for their kindness and care of our Mum.
A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Condolences or donations may be made at www.earthsoption.com.
