It is with sadness that the family of Sylvia Krcic announces her passing on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Cumberland Lodge at the age of 88 years.
She was born in Hrasce, Croatia and immigrated to Canada as a young child with her family. They settled in Cumberland and Sylvia remained there until her passing.
She was a secretary at the court house in Courtenay and Cumberland for 40 years. Sylvia enjoyed gardening and baking and was known for her soups and muffins.
Sylvia will be remembered by her sisters Betty (John) Krmpotic and Diane Garseth, brother Joe Krcic, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Christ the King Church in Courtenay.
