June 28, 1945 - June 3, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Susan May Forbes announces her passing after a struggle with cancer, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the age of 75 years. Sue will be lovingly remembered by her friends and family: brother Stanley Alexander Forbes, daughter-in-love Margaret and her husband and children, cousins Aaron and Matt Chamberlin and their wives and daughters.
Sue was born on June 28, 1945, in Vancouver and received her nursing degree from St-Paul Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. She dedicated her life to caring for premature babies in neonatal ICUs along the west coast of Canada and the United States.
She enjoyed traveling locally and internationally with her brother and was proud to see her "grandkids" grow up to go to college. Before moving back to Canada, she was a purr-feet mom to several cats, including "Biackie" who lived to the ripe old age of 19.
Sue's remains will be buried alongside family on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia.
No memorial service is planned. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society, American Cancer Society or Salvation Army Comox Valley Community Church.
