It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother & friend. Susan (Susie) Elaine English died on January 25th in Comox, BC at the age of 77.
Predeceased by her husband Robert of 45 years, she is survived by her children, Jason (Yvonne), and Tara, and her grandchildren Dylan and Addyson.
Susie was born and raised in London, ON but later moved to Toronto where she met Robert. They were married in 1968 before moving to Calgary (AB), then Dallas (TX), and settling in Regina (SK), where they lived, worked, volunteered and raised the family.
Susan was the Manager of Credit & Collections at SaskPower, where she worked until her retirement. In 2007, they moved to Comox (Vancouver Island) where she continued her passion of volunteering & socializing with Probus, Newcomers, D'Esterre, Habitat for Humanity, Filberg Festival, YANA, Sid Williams Theatre, Comox United Church, and Multiple Myeloma.
Her life ended following a seven year battle with Multiple Myeloma. The family is grateful to her friends for their tremendous support, and to her medical team for their continuum of care. Arrangements will be made to celebrate Susie's remarkable life, once COVID restrictions are lifted and social gatherings are possible.
