It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mama bear and sister in Cowichan Hospice House, after a 1 1/2 year fight with cancer.
Sue is survived by her partner and soulmate Jay, children Alycia (Shaun), Cody (Jo), brothers: Neil, Gary (Joanne), Brian (Erin), step-siblings Marty (Kat) and Cathy, 2 grand-dogs Frank and Kilo, several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Sue was pre-deceased by her parents Ed and Alice Burton, both of Duncan.
Sue unconditionally loved her kids and grand-dogs, and enjoyed spending time with family & friends, camping, beach-combing, making wood signs and crafting. She had many circles of friends and many were lifelong friends.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Cowichan Hospice House and wound care clinic for their kind and gentle care.
