Susan Marie Mahannah passed away peacefully November 3rd, 2020.
Pre-deceased by mother and father, Constance and Rulon Mahannah, and sister Carol Mahannah. Survived by daughter Shauna Janz, and siblings Peggy (Jamel) Abougoush, Jim (Shelly) Mahannah, Nancy (Ian) Serpless and Mike (Joy) Mahannah.
Raised in Calgary and Edmonton, graduated from University of Alberta, and moved to Vancouver Island in 1971 to pursue 10 years of work with Provincial Fish and Wildlife, and a 25 year career with Nanaimo Pacific Biological Station.
Retired in 2009 to embark on ten years of worldly travel adventures; teaching English in the Czech Republic was a favourite. She loved reading, sports, motor-biking, birds and trees. She is remembered as a strong athlete and a true friend, with a cheerful and welcoming personality, and a courageous spirit.
There will be no services as requested by the deceased. In lieu of flowers, please donate to BC Cancer Agency. Thank you to friends and team of professionals who supported her so well in her journey.
