It is with deep sadness that the family of Stuart Jacklin announces his passing on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Courtenay, BC after a short battle with cancer.

He was born in Hanover, ON, the third child to Hilda and Marshall Jacklin. Stuart met Patricia in Hanover, and they were married in October of 1962. They remained in Ontario for many years, but moved west in 1979.

Eventually Stuart retired from being a crane operator and they moved to the Comox Valley in 1992.

Stuart enjoyed many activities including fishing, moose hunting and tinkering on old tractors and machinery. He was a member of the Glacier Heritage Power and Equipment Club. He also had a special place in his heart for his pets, especially his dogs Buddy and Shelby.

Stuart was predeceased by his son, Quinten, and parents Marshall and Hilda (nee Logie) Jacklin.

Stuart will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia Jacklin (nee Cotter); son Graham; and daughter Shannon (Wayne) Bell; granddaughter Kathleen (Mathew); great grandsons Hayden and Logan; sister Verlette Scott; brothers Gorman (June) and Cameron (Pauline); Pat's side of the family as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Stuart will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
