Steven WILSON

September 8, 2017

Steven Wilson

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the sudden passing of Steven Wilson on September 8, 2017 at the age of 41 years.

Steven was born at Surrey Memorial Hospital and grew up in Cloverdale.

As a young boy he watched movies, read comic books and tinkered with the early computers. He graduated from Lord Tweedsmuir High School and went on to BCIT to train as an Electronic Engineer. He started his career at BC ferries working out of the Little River office. He then went on to work for BCLC, mainly based at the Chances Gaming Centre in Courtenay.

He was an accomplished marks man shooting with guns and bows. He enjoyed fishing, whether it be fly fishing or out on the salt water in a boat. Steve also enjoyed camping, reading, wrestling with the kids and Parker-dog of course and would never shy away from a good water fight.

Steve was very dedicated to his family. He leaves behind his life partner and best friend Michelle, three children (Taylor, Alexis and Zachary), his mother Roberta and brother Derrick. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends whose lives he has touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Native Sons Hall (360 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay).

Memorial donations may be made to the BC SPCA Comox Valley & District Branch (1668 Ryan Rd E, Comox, BC V9M 7Z8)
