June 24, 1962 - April 28, 2021
Steve passed on April 28, 2021 and is survived by his loving wife, Cherie Newman, three children: Ashley Wright, Candace Newman, and Dale Newman, his cherished granddaughter: Dakota Blomgren, his Mother: Beverly Pagen, and many more.
Steve was born and raised in the Comox Valley and worked a number of years in the logging industry as a faller and a front-end loader operator. Later in life, he enjoyed every aspect of being a grandparent and earned the title: #1 Papa.
Steve loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, gold panning, and hiking and instilled the loved of the outdoors in his children.
He also loved working with his hands; restoring vehicles, music, cooking, carving, you name it, he did it. Steve was a proud and loving man who would do anything to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life for Steve at a later date.
