April 7, 1976 - February 22, 2020
With great love we are saddened to announce the passing of Stephanie, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend.
Born in Lion's Gate Hospital, and the youngest of Anne and Nick's children, Stephanie grew up in Hawaii, Winnipeg and West Vancouver. She attended West Van High and then moved to Victoria, where she graduated with a degree in Anthropology and formed lifelong friendships.
Steph had a great love of music, and it was music that brought her and Andrew together. They married in 2006 and soon welcomed their first daughter Avery. In 2009, the family moved to Yellowknife where they spent three happy years and welcomed their second daughter Neve.
In Yellowknife, Steph was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, triggering a move back to the west coast. With the brilliant care of Dr. Karen Gelmon and team, Steph's next eight years were filled with many adventures - boating, trips to Hawaii, New York and Tofino. While Steph's battle was hard-fought and relentless, it never dulled her spirit, sense of humour and love for her family and friends. Steph was an exceptional mother to Avery and Neve.
Steph is predeceased by her beloved father Nick Enns, survived by her husband Andrew, her daughters Avery and Neve, her mother Anne (Eric Beddis), her in-laws Peter and Jane Babuin, her brothers-in-law Christian (Una), and Stephen (Nicole), her adored brothers Chris (Megan), Michael (Amber), and Brian (Paul), her nephews Owen, Jack and Ben, her nieces Lyla, Osha, Autumn, Sofia, Gemma, and Ella.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Tory, Mavik, and the staff at Dover House in Nanaimo, for their loving care of Steph. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
We love you Steph!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BC Cancer Foundation or Nanaimo Hospice Society.
