April 16, 1920 - October 19, 2021
Stanley Penton Gardener passed away on the morning of Oct 19, 2021, at home in Ladysmith B.C., at the age of 101.
Born April 16, 1920, in Calgary Alberta, he served in WW2 as a Flight instructor for the RCAF (Royal Canadian Airforce). He married Lorraine Violet March 14, 1944, and was happily married for 75 years until her passing in July 2019.
He worked for Calgary Transit in Calgary Alberta, until his retirement to Ladysmith BC here on Vancouver Island.
He is survived by, his two sons David (his wife Carol), and Jim (his wife Moira), his grandson Paul (wife Nicola), his granddaughter Jennifer (husband Ryan) and great-grandchildren Shiloh and R.J.
A quiet family gathering at graveside will be held in honor of his memory. They all find peace in knowing it is better "to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord," where Dad is now residing.
