It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss the family of Jim Meyers (also known as "Silver" by many friends) announce his passing in July 18, 2020 after a short but fierce battle with cancer a the age of 83.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife Beulah of 35 years, his sons Dan (Wanda) and Greg (Lenni), his sister Myrna (Phil), Tim & son Jamie, his grandchildren Nicole, Matthew, Lindsay and Alex, Niece Taylor and his great grandchildren Savannah, Aedyn and Linden, his sons mother Beverly and his extended family of in-laws whom he affectionately addressed as "Auntie and Uncle".
Jim was born and raised in Chemainus and never ventured far from home. He settled in Saltaire where he lived a simple but comfortable life close to family and friends.
Jim Spent most of his working life as a mechanic and later as a part owner of McBride's Service Station along side his eldest son Dan where he was well known.
Jim's friendly demeanour, strong work ethic ad sense of humor will be remembered. He was always there to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. Jim loved the outdoors - camping, hunting, fishing, where he passed on his love of the outdoors to his sons.
A small celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 29, 2020 1 - 4 pm at 3706 Gardner Road, Ladysmith BC.
